matt smith and the olympic torch

ok so a lot of people are talking about Matt Smith being the one to start the relay of the olympic torch. personally, i think it's awesome that Doctor Who got to be put out there for everyone to see! all the pictures of it on google are title "Doctor Who's Matt Smith carrying the Olympic torch!". the publicity this is getting for the show is amazing. but, of course, us whovians have to cause a ruccus about something. in season 2 of Doctor Who in the episode "Fear Her", David Tennant runs in and relights the Olympic fire in the 2012 Olympic games. fans are now saying that Tennant should have run the torch for irony's sake instead of Smith. people, relax. it would have been really cool but they didn't do it so now nothing can be done about it. however, for some encouragement, i saw a rumor on google that Tennant may run the last part of it to finish and light it at the end. fingers crossed for a freaky awesome occurance!

don't read this if you don't want to know but i know some amazing spoilers for Doctor Who:

•weeping angels (best monsters ever!) are back in episode 5
•rory and amy want a divorce but before they can, rory is killed by a weeping angel
•the ponds leave
•the doctor gets his first ever alien companion, jenna-louise coleman
•john barrowman is back as captain jack harkness (maybe)
•the master returns (played by sherlock's benedict cumberbatch)

and to top it all off, 2013 is the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who  :)
